8pcs braai lamb chops
2 onions –chopped
3tbs mixed chopped herbs (thyme, rose­mary, pars­ley, oregano)
Olive oil for fry­ing meat and onions
3 large car­rots, chopped
12 large but­ter­nut –chopped big
14 of a bot­tle of red wine
12 heads of broc­coli
2 tins of chopped tomato
2 hand­fuls of baby pota­toes
250g brown mush­rooms
Black pep­per and salt to taste

Serves 6

Method

Heat the pot with some olive oil in it and fry the onions until translu­cent. Remove the onions and brown the meat, add salt and pep­per to taste.

Return the onions to the pot and add the pota­toes, car­rots, cans of chopped tomato,butternut, mixed herbs and wine.

Turn down the heat and let the pot sim­mer slowly.

Cook for at least an hour, prefer­ably two, depend­ing on the heat.

Half an hour before serv­ing, add the broc­coli and mushrooms.

Serve with rice.
